ZZ
Top, live in France in the 'Vieilles Charrues' festival, broadcasted
live by "France Inter" (a non-commercial public French radio station,
very equivalent to BBC Radio 1). The broadcast should have lasted from
10pm to midnight. But, for some reasons the band started half-an-hour
late. Therefore, when the broadcast was interrupted exactly at midnight
(due to contractual obligation), the concert wasn't completly over.
Because of that, "Foxy Lady" (the penultimate song they played that
night) was only partially broadcast. The last song, a cover of Elvis
Presley's "Jailhouse Rock", wasn't brodcast at all.
This performance
appears here in complete unedited form. Some of you might have prefered
to edit-out all the DJ comment, especially those of you bloody b*****ds
who hate French. For those who speak french, you'll find the comments
made by the DJ 'Laurent Laviche' very interesting because he describe
all the crazy things that happenned on the stage that night.
A very
good performance indeed, with a very good sound too. They played that
night before an audience between 40,000 and 75,000 people (depending of
the reports). Before the concert, they were interviewed by the DJ. We
learned from them that it was the very first time they played in
France, and also the first time since 28 years (yes, 28!) that they
were (officially) broadcasted live on FM radio.
